I always shake my head when I hear people say that someone is stuck in their ways, especially when they are relatively young, like in their early 50s.
I believe that everyone has both good and bad habits that they’ve developed over the years. As you enter your 50s, your interests, responsibilities, and body change significantly. This is a good time to adjust your habits, especially when it comes to your physical and emotional health.
I’ve researched some habits that are recommended for people over 50 by medical and health professionals.
Confront your vices.
Prioritize your preventative health
Proper sleep
Waking up on your own
Never use tech when you go to bet
Be mobile when you are working
Do weight training
Add more protein to your diet
Add more nuts to your diet
Make sure your gut is healthy (Very Important)
Do more farm-to-table eating
Visit the dermatologist
Use sunscreen daily
Wear sunglasses (Not just for the cool factor)
Have a dedicated fitness routine
Keep good and positive people around you
Keep your good friend close
Learn to inhale and exhale daily
Laugh as much as you can
Be more intimate/sexual with your significant other
Take some time to get away
Be active
Learn to relax
Be thankful for the little things
Drink lots of water
Get as much rest as you can
